Anyone who has any kind of capacity to truly let go and give into yourself with any kind of desire to hold on for dear life - Do it. Read it. Live it. Practice it. We are a lot! But we are meant to be a lot! .. “A good life is a hard life!” Read this book and have a highlighter on hand to make notes because you’ll want to refer back to it trust me! I never knew that I am solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom!! Who knew our own liberation liberates those around us? Cause I didn’t!! 這個現象最早被提出來，是因為美國紐約皇后鎮發生了一起殺人事件，1964年3月13日，Kitty Genovese女士在紐約皇后鎮被當街謀殺，根據《紐約時報》報導，這名女士被謀殺時，有38名住戶目擊，卻未見任何人出手救援或報警，導致她當街被殺死。
 
John Darley 和Bibb Latané認為，這是因為當有其他人在場的時候，我們面對緊急狀況時，會傾向於認為其他人可能會為這件事情作出回應，因此分散掉了每個人自認為所應該負起的責任，這樣的心理歷程就是所謂的分散責任（Diffusion of responsibility）
